Camp Clearing

First topic message reminder :

Willowstar padded into an ivy filled clearing. Rock faces jutted out towards the clearing like cliffs, and a mixture of moss and ivy grew to cover them almost completely.

(Oh noo XD I wasn't imagining her rabbit as being all that big. Was my post misleading? o.o Eh, oh well XD)

Willowstar looked to Flashfire and dipped her head. "I would love to. After that long walk, I'm famished." She looked at Flashfire and purred lightly. "Rabbit is my favorite prey. I hope someone else enjoys that other one on the pile." She bent down and took a small bite.

(nah, I just didn't want it to seem like we were eating a big rabbit, cus then wed be fattys)
He took a small bite and looked up at Willowstar, glad to be her deputy. "I'm sure the other one could feed a few cats. It was a very good catch"

Willowstar swallowed her bite then took another one, slightly bigger, and chewed. She looked to the sky, then to Flashfire. "It seems it may rain just a little. Maybe, but it will probably pass. What do you think?"

He looked up and swallowed a bite of rabbit "Hrm. Looks like it, and we haven't had a storm in awhile. So maybe so."

She looked down at him. "Thank-you. yours was a great catch as well." She took another bite, silently hoping for rain. She liked the sound of it, and the smell.

He bit off some rabbit and nodded "Thanks Willowstar."

Willowstar padded into the Clearing with Ghostpaw. She looked out at the clearing then padded to the middle, ready to call a Clan-meeting.

Flashfire flicked his ear towards Willowstar as she padded in and walked towards her "Greetings"

Ghostpaw padded in behind Willowstar when her clan leader padded to the centre to call a clan meeting she wasn't quite sure where to sit.She decided to sit at the front of the rest of the cats,her clanmates gathered around and she waited for Willowstar to start.

Willowstar dipped her head to Flashfire, "Hello Flashfire, time for a Clan meeting" then climbed up the side of the rock face that lead to her Den. (It's weird, I expect to get an email telling me that I have a reply here but I never get one D:) "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here in the Camp Clearing!" She called out.

(make sure your notifications thing is turned on. I turned mine off ^^) Flashfire dipped his head and stood beneath his leader, staring upward, waiting for the news she had to tell.

"We have welcomed a young she-cat into our Clan, but she was never assigned a mentor. Ghostpaw, will you please step forward."

Ghostpaw couldn't contain her self she managed to walk forward and stand next to Willowstar and nodded her head to the clan leader.

Willowstar spoke loudly to the Clan. "Ghostpaw, you have waited long enough for your training, and we thank you for your patience. I will mentor this apprentice, and teach her everything I know." she looked to Ghostpaw and touched noses with the young apprentice proudly.

"Thank you Willowstar," Ghostpaw felt so excited"thank you for every thing."

(Whoot! School started and I suck at replying ever. Why am I admin.)

Willowstar purred and nodded to the she-cat. "Thank-you, for joining us an for being willing to learn."

(Doesn't kno if I should yell ghostpaw but does anyway)
Flashfire practically yowled with joy "Ghostpaw Ghostpaw!!" He loved to see new apprentices and couldn't wait to see what the young cat would learn.

Ghostpaw padded through her clanmates and knew this was where she was supposed to be. "Thank you Flashfire,"

Willowstar padded up behind Ghostpaw. "Flashfire, if you would like to show her some things you know as well... It is always best to learn from whoever you can."

Ghostpaw was startled at Willowstar's voice behind her.She turned to face Willowstar "I couldn't agree more Willowstar," Ghostpaw decided to sun herself a little in the warm rays near the apprentice den,"Is there anything you need me to do Willowstar?" Ghostpaw didn't want to get to comfortable if she was going to have to train,patrol or clear the elders bedding and check them for ticks!

Willowtar purred lightly. "I do actually. I want you to go out with me to collect moss. We will be filling in the nests in camp, making them thicker. Leaf-fall is coming, the weather is getting wetter and colder."

Flashfire watched and the apprentice and her new mentor discuss her new duty- Moss gathering. His whiskers twitched as he remembered gathering moss as an apprentice. "I know of a good place for collecting moss if you'd like me to show you,Ghostpaw"

It was at this point that a butterfly floated past the group, a Monarch Butterfly, to be exact. Very rare this time of year. And as it floated by, if they were paying attention to it, they would not have seen the flash of orange running towards the butterfly. They would hear a cry, however.

"Out of the way! That is a rare Queen Butterfly! Move! Quickly! But don't scare it off!" He was running towards it, and was able to pounce it right in the middle of Flashfire's, Willowstar's, and Ghostpaw's little group. He smiled at his pinned-yet-alive speciminte, and picked it up very carefully, putting it in a makeshift net made of old, stick-less cobwebs.

He was completely oblivious to the group around him.

Willowstar looked in Sunny's direction. She flickered her ears as her face took on a look of amusement. She watched the tom, and was not offended at his interruption. The leader also doubted that Ghostpaw would be very cross.

She understood that Sun (Is your name Sunspot or Sunpelt? Or is is Sunspotpelt? XD) was intrigued with insects, though she didn't quite share his fascination. She wondered why this butterfly was so special, and what made it rare.

Sunny smiled as he looked up... suddenly realizing he was surrounded by three other cats. His ear tips turned bright red as he backed away slowly.

"I am so sorry... I didn't mean... it's just that... Queen Butterflies are so rare... especially now... I barely see any... and I... I couldn't help myself... please don't yell at me..." He looked down, embarrassed and saddened. He knew a lot of cats would make fun of him or mess with him because of it.
