Southern Border

This border starts out along the gray sand beach and makes it's way to the Cliff Overlook where it is dangerous for unexperienced cats to go. It reaches north-east through some rocky terrain and then west to meet up with the stream that breaks off of the river border

Cherryscar wandered through the gray sands. This was as good as her territory, and she knew it. She had no fear here, regardless of how often any cat told her it was a DarkClan border. She hated DarkClan, they killed her parents and her friends, her old ship-mates, so she had no interest in recognizing their authority over this place, her home.

She had finished fishing and eating, and now just walked along the rocky coast, enjoying the ocean spray on her fur. Being damp was one of her absolute favorite ways to feel, the water dripping across her scars, tickling her skin.

Echostar walked along the beach, marking the border scents and talking to Blacktooth.
"I'm really starting to worry about the attacks on our Clan members from that rogue" His smile disapeered for a split second "And Foxkit... She is growing up and will no doubt be on her own soon. She could get hurt..."

Blacktooth stalked along the border, marking the best spots and keeping a keen eye out. His gaze trailed dangerously over the territory "Nothing will harm Foxkit. We will get rid of the rougue. They will learn to step foot on and terrorize DarkClan." His muddy yellow eyes narrowed.

Cherryscar just kept walking along, until she smelled something familiar... renewed border scent. She had another victim, walking right into her trap. It wouldn't work near as well if she were a male, as that would make them able to smell her. But she was a female cat... the surprise was hers.

After a few minutes of following the trail, she came across the two cats, and smirked. Two for the price of one. This was her chance to strike one more blow to the hearts of the clan members that allowed the murder of her family, possibly even sanctioned it.

"... You two are on my beach." She spoke darkly, almost in a breathy-voice. It was for effect more than anything else.

"Hah! Your beach?" Echostar laughed and tilted his head to the side as he saw the very rogue they'd been speaking of before him. "Are you sure you aren't mistaken?" He grinned and his orangey eyes flashed as he looked over the intruder.

Blacktooth flickered his ears, and smirk crossing his expression, giving him a crazed look. He stared at the rogue. "Surely she is mistaken. This land obviously belongs to DarkClan." He flexed his claws while he spoke, his tone mocking.

"Oh, good, I didn't want to accidentally kill cats that didn't deserve it." An evil smirk crossed her face. She was preparing to give them what every cat from DarkClan that she had met before had gotten. But, not before letting them in on a short little monologue.

"My name, since you shan't live to know it much longer, is Cherryscar. You're clanmates, whoever they may be, massacred my family and my friends mercilessly. I barely escaped with my life. I used to sail these very waters with that family, and ever since, any Darkclan cat that has passed by here with my knowledge has had a burial at sea, where my family should have died of age. Now, as you so heartlessly did to my family, I shall do to you. What are your names, so I may carve them into your rafts before I send you out."

For some clarification, Cherryscar took the bodies of the cats she killed or knocked out and tied them to make-shift rafts, which were just sticks tied together with plant fibers. She carved the name on the raft so that the ocean would know who they were, and would determine their passage accordingly.

Blacktooth barred his teeth in a grin. He was psycho, and showed this from minimal fear in dangerous situations. He instead laughed and grinned as if he was having the time of his life, almost as if this was a defense mechanism of what could have been a worse realization. He was confident that he could defeat this cat, though he had not the slightest idea of what she spoke of. It was not of his recollection that what the rogue said was true. He didn't bother, though, Blacktooth had been itching for a fight. "My name, foolish rogue, is Blacktooth. I am Deputy under Echostar." He stood tall and watched her with malice.

Echostar stepped in front of his deputy, "Calm down, Blacktooth." He dipped his head respectfully "Cherryscar..." He looked up at her, smiling and eyes glowing "I am Echostar, the leader of DarkClan. And I've been leader of DarkClan for awhile, yet I am not familiar of the massacre you accuse my Clan of."

Blacktooth fidgeted, but stayed behind his leader. He would respect Echostar's words, but would not hesitate to throw insults at the rogue again if she disrespected DarkClan's leader.

She smirked.

"Ah yes... I've been told that before... but what proof do you have that you do not lie?"

Echostar blinked "Well. If you remember the day of your family's death so well... Then do you remember the faces of those who murdered them?" Echostar took a step forward seemingly totally sincere despite an ever-present grin that made its way onto his face.

Cherryscar looked back, shivering once as the memories flooded back.

"One... the one that tried to... he was white. Pure white. Red eyes, evil, soulless. He had blood stains all over his fur... only some of them recent, most dried."

"A tom with a white pelt..." Echostar spoke under his breath. He looked Cherryscar in the eyes "Cherryscar... I don't believe there is a cat of such a description in our clan... but if you don't believe us. We could always lead you to our camp to make sure we aren't harboring such a monster as the cat you speak of, and maybe you'll realize DarkClan is not full of those monsters either." He thought of Foxkit and again his smile disappeared for split-second "I won't let you murder those who don't deserve it."

Cherryscar glared at him, contemplating. Was it possible she was tricked? Was it possible... yes... it started to make sense. Flashfire never asked her about the clan the cat was from... no one inquired about her story into DarkClan... they foxes demanded about both clans... of course.

"A thousand curses of the waves upon those blasted fools... even in my escape, they still have plagued me, like a lone rat aboard a vessel with no Sea-cats... Echostar, though I far from deserve your forgiveness, I apologize. I was... deceived. It seems I'm not the most threatening "rogue", as the clans are so fond of calling me, as I thought... the killing will stop."

Echostar nodded looked towards his deputy grinning "Blacktooth. You might yet have the action of of good fight you've been wishing for." Echostar turned back towards Cherryscar and took a stop closer. "If you don't mind, We need to redeem the name of the cats of DarkClan and I have no better way in mind than helping you find the murderer who did what they did to you and your family." His eyes rested on her deep scars on her shoulder and looked at a similar scar forever etched into his own. "Foxes?" His eyes glew.

"As far as I can remember... so probably. Though, I don't know... some of them look like cat-scars, which worries me."

Blacktooth stood behind Echostar and listened until he as addressed. His grin spread as he thought of the even bigger battle presented through this conversation. He wondered though, This rogue could be lying to us... No one gives up a fight, and all of that built up anger so easily.. The black tom narrowed his eyes, "Echostar, wait. How do we know we can trust her? She has injured and killed DarkClan cats!" A snarl almost escaped his lips at the thought.

Echostars gaze rested on Blacktooth and he smiled wider. "I've already taken that into consideration. It's true. Any cat can lie. But how would we even make sure she's telling the truth? If Cherryscar isn't who she says she is, well we will just have to be ready for that. Surely both of us can handle the situation." Echostar turned back to face Cherryscar "You said something about Flashfire, IvyClan's deputy. Would he know more about what happened to you?"

Cherryscar thought for a second, and slowly nodded, almost resentfully.

"Yes... well... up until the kidnapping part. I think he thinks I just abandoned him... or died. I've been meaning to go back and find him... but I haven't had much of an opportunity. Between fighting off attackers and trying to survive, it's been tough. To top it all off, I had my previous agenda, as well..."

Blacktooth knew Echostar was right, that there was no worry the two of them could beat the rogue if she was lying and tried something funny. He hoped that Echostar would not invite her to the camp. This cat had been terrorizing DarkClan, and in Blacktooth's mind she should be punished. He knew that the rest of DarkClan would think the same, there should be justice for what she did, and Blacktooth was not going to be so easily forgiving.

Echostar grinned and looked over to Blacktooth."Well, Maybe we should pay a little visit to IvyClan"

Blacktooth's interest was peeked further. "IvyClan? Alright.... I wonder how those squirrel hearts will feel about two DarkClan cats and a dangerous rogue with a reputation waltzing into their camp." He wished he could fight an IvyClan cat. He obviously knew the two of them were no match for the whole of IvyClan, but if Willowstar sent out a patrol to escort them to the edge of the territory... Blacktooth was not normally one to pick fights, he knew wise decisions had to be made that would not endanger the Clan, but the black tom expected tensions to be high anyway. He was sure insults would be thrown.

Echostar chuckled "Indeed" He tilted his head to CherryScar. "Shall we be on our way then?"
